Owureku Asare leads Fintech and Innovation at Bank of Ghana, where he is responsible for policy and regulatory initiatives to strengthen the country’s digital financial ecosystem. With over 20 years of experience in banking, payments, and digital financial services, he has driven digital transformation projects across 33 African markets and forged strategic partnerships to digital finance and financial health in Sub-Saharan Africa .
He has worked closely with global partners such as the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Mastercard Foundation, CGAP, and the Better Than Cash Alliance, and co-founded the Financial Inclusion Forum Africa to advance innovation and financial inclusion across the continent.
