Sami AlKhair is a Digital Asset Regulatory Specialist at the Cambridge Centre for Alternative Finance.
He worked as a senior policy advisor and tokenisation strategy lead at the UK’s FCA. He has extensive experience developing the UK’s regulatory and policy framework for cryptoassets and represented the FCA on IOSCO and FSB international standard setting working groups on tokenisation and decentralised finance. Sami also worked in the FCA’s innovation hub and regulatory sandbox.
Sami has previous experience at the Bank of England in financial market infrastructure supervision, policy and research. And private sector experience in management consultancy and regulatory advisory in capital markets.
