Mr Munir Duri

Munir Duri is the Founder and CEO of Kifiya Financial Technology PLC, an Ethiopia-born, pan-African company building AI-powered risk decisioning, financial, and market infrastructure for emerging economies. Under his leadership, Kifiya has evolved from a payments provider into an AI technology ecosystem infrastructure that enables banks, non-bank financial institutions, and digital marketplaces to expand economic opportunities for MSMEs, smallholder farmers (SHFs), and low- and middle-income communities.

Kifiya pioneered data-driven credit scoring and large-scale uncollateralized digital lending, while also building agri-value-chain and market-linkage infrastructure that connects smallholder farmers to finance, inputs, insurance, and markets. Kifiya’s platforms reduce risk, strengthen market linkages, and crowd in capital at scale.

A thought leader in inclusive digital finance and marketplace models, Munir is a recipient of the Mastercard Foundation Zambezi Prize and the IFC SME Finance Forum’s Product Innovation of the Year award. He regularly speaks on AI-enabled risk decisioning, financial and market infrastructure, and the role of technology in unlocking sustainable growth across emerging economies.
