Rajesh Bansal is the CEO of the Reserve Bank Innovation Hub (RBIH), a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) dedicated to fostering innovation in the financial sector. With over three decades of experience in digital public infrastructure (DPI) and financial services across Asia and Africa, he has been instrumental in shaping India’s digital financial ecosystem.
Rajesh played a pivotal role in designing and implementing Digital ID (Aadhaar)-enabled Direct Benefit Transfers (DBT) and IndiaStack, benefiting over 300 million people. He also conceptualized, designed, and built India’s first credit DPI- Unified lending Interface, enabling frictionless and digital agricultural lending.
