Leila Rwagasana

Leila is the FinTech Secretariat Lead at Rwanda Finance Ltd., the company building and promoting the Kigali international financial center (KIFC) in Rwanda. Her role is to lead the implementation of the National FinTech strategy in Rwanda with the vision to position Rwanda as a Fintech Hub on the continent. In addition, her work also focuses on position KIFC as a preferred jurisdiction for Fintechs. Before this, she was the Director of Partnerships at Irembo, a leading technology company in Rwanda that focuses on building digital solutions for government and businesses. While there, she successfully led the digitization of over 40 government services and lead the engagement and launch of the first electronic certificates in Rwanda and other key policy change in the Tech sector. Her professional background focuses on business development, strategic partnerships engagement, policy engagements and project management. Leila holds a master’s in arts in International Business Management from the University of Westminster, London and a bachelor’s with Honors in Global Financial Management from Regent’s University London.
