Dr. Corneille KAREKEZI is the Group MD / CEO of Africa Re, the largest reinsurance company in Africa and the Middle East and the strongest financially, with US$ 1.106 billion revenue in 2023 and rated internationally at A (Stable Outlook).
Africa Re operates 10 offices across major cities of African continent and an office in the DIFC (Dubai). Its revenues come from Africa, Middle East, India, China and Brazil.
He has contributed significantly to the development of the African (re)insurance industry and is a sought-after speaker on matters of insurance and risk management around the world.
He serves on the governing bodies of various companies, financial institutions and insurance organisations and is equally a Member of the Executive Council of the International Insurance Society and the Executive Committee of the African Insurance Organisation.
