Aimable Rukundo

Aimable Rukundo is a Digital Payments and Cybersecurity Leader with over 15 years of experience in software engineering, fintech innovation, and digital transformation. He currently serves as Chief Digital Innovation & Projects at RSwitch Ltd, where he leads strategic initiatives advancing Rwanda’s national digital payment infrastructure and supporting the transition toward a secure, interoperable, and cashless economy.

His expertise spans payment systems architecture, ISO 20022 messaging, cybersecurity governance, fintech product development, and large-scale system integration. Aimable has successfully delivered wallet platforms, payment gateways, government systems, and enterprise financial solutions across both public and private sectors.

He holds a Master of Science in Information Technology from Carnegie Mellon University and combines deep technical expertise with strong leadership and strategic execution capabilities to drive innovation, resilience, and financial inclusion.
