Adeyemi Omotoso is a global digital finance and payments policy leader with over 15 years of experience spanning digital financial services (DFS), payments infrastructure, FinTech regulation, and financial inclusion across Africa, the Pacific, South Asia, and global policy platforms. He serves as Policy Manager for Digital Financial Services at the Alliance for Financial Inclusion (AFI), where he leads a global working group of regulators from over 70 countries and oversees donor-funded programmes, regional initiatives, and flagship policy convenings.
He is recognised for translating complex innovation into practical, implementable policy and infrastructure outcomes, having led the development of global policy frameworks and implementation tools that have informed hundreds of regulatory reforms across member jurisdictions. Adeyemi brings rare end-to-end expertise, combining private-sector experience in building payments and DFS infrastructure with senior public-sector policy leadership, and regularly advises central bank leadership, regulators, donors, and industry leaders on advancing inclusive, resilient, and future-ready digital finance ecosystems.
