Remittances are one of Africa’s most resilient financial flows, yet they remain expensive, fragmented, and largely disconnected from broader financial inclusion and economic activity.
This public–private roundtable will explore how remittance corridors can be re-engineered as core financial infrastructure leveraging improved interoperability, regional payment systems, and emerging currency rails such as stablecoins and digital settlement mechanisms to enable faster, cheaper, and more transparent cross-border flows.
