Trésor Ngassa is the Managing Director of Centrika Limited, a licensed Large e-money issuer, one of the leading fintech in Rwanda pioneering inclusive digital payment solutions for East Africa. In the last few years, Centrika has grown to serve over 100,000 active users through the SafariBus Card, Rwanda's leading transport payment solution, while expanding its ecosystem with TiCQet, an innovative event ticketing platform, XentriPay — its newly launched merchant payment product enabling P2M transactions on eKash — and a growing network of iKiosks designed to extend financial services to underserved communities.

With over 16 years of international experience, Trésor is a recognised International Payment Expert who has led and shaped national and regional payment ecosystem strategies across more than 15 African countries. Through projects funded and supported by organisations including AfricaNenda Foundation, the World Bank, and the African Development Bank, he has advised central banks and financial regulators on the strategic design, governance, and operationalisation of national payment switches, interoperable instant payment systems, and inclusive digital financial ecosystems.

He has contributed to landmark initiatives in Benin, Guinea, Mauritania, Madagascar, the Comoros, and across the CEMAC region, consistently bridging strategy, policy, and implementation to accelerate financial inclusion at scale, working with national institutions like the BEAC, the Central Bank of Mauritania, the Central Bank of Madagascar, and GIM-UEMOA, among others.

Trésor holds a Master of Science in Information and Communication Technologies from the Asian Institute of Technology (Bangkok) and an Engineering Degree from Télécom SudParis — Institut Polytechnique de Paris (France). Trésor holds deep technical expertise in ISO 8583/20022, EMV and API-based integrations, complemented by a strong command of procurement, business case development, and ecosystem governance. He is also a certified ITIL v3 practitioner and holds certifications in Instant and Inclusive Payment Systems and UN Principles for Responsible Digital Payments.
