r. Elisee KAMANZI holds a Degree in Veterinary Medicine and specialized in Foods Safety and Food Quality Management. His previous work with Academic and research Institutions, including the Institute Louis Pasteur, the University Cheikh Anta Diop of Dakar and the University of Rwanda focused on the fields of Veterinary Immunology & Food Microbiology. For the last 15 years, he worked in the development sector in various capacities. Initially leading the Bill and Melinda Gates’ East Africa Dairy Development Project then as the Country Director of Heifer International. Thereafter in 2021, he was appointed as the Africa Technical Lead for Heifer International’s Livestock Programing. In 2014, he was elected as the 1st Secretary General of the Rwanda Council of Veterinary Doctors, and he is a regular contributor to the National Agriculture Sector Working Group. Dr. Elisee Kamanzi currently serves as Program Lead, Agriculture at the Mastercard Foundation. He is a focused achiever and self-driven professional with experience in the areas of program and project management, design and implementation of complex projects and programs.
