Oswell Kahonde

Oswell Kahonde, is the Head of Anglophone Africa Region at the Better Than Cash Alliance, a United Nations-based partnership of governments, corporates and development partners accelerating the shift from cash to responsible digital payments. He oversees the Alliance’s Anglophone Africa region, supporting members in advancing their digital payment priorities with a focus on strategy, policy, regulatory development and implementation support. He also oversees the Alliance’s global agricultural portfolio. With over 20 years of experience in impact development finance across the public, private, and international sectors, Oswell is a strong advocate for responsible digital financial services (DFS). He believes that adopting responsible approaches to DFS is key to driving a digital finance revolution that can unlock significant growth opportunities for corporates and governments.
