Annerose Ngemu is a Senior Manager; Digital Business (Commercialisation & Market solutions) within Global Trade Bank Cluster at the African Import Export Bank (Afreximbank), headquartered in Cairo, Egypt. A passionate champion of digital innovations as enablers of growth, Annerose has in the last 15+ years held senior roles in Business and Technology functions in Commercial and Development Financial Institutions. At Afreximbank, she is responsible for driving growth and ecosystem development of the Bank’s Digital Trade solutions. Currently she is leading the Africa Trade Gateway (ATG) digital trade ecosystem commercialization activities for participants in East Africa, Southern Africa, the Caribbean & Non-African markets. Before joining Afreximbank, Annerose worked for Bank of Africa (BOA) Kenya as Head of Digital Banking Business responsible for the Bank’s Digital Business revenue and profitability and a business lead for the BOA Bank Group Digital Transformation programme. Prior that, she worked at the National Bank as Head of Transactional Banking where she was responsible for the delivery of the department’s contribution to the Bank’s revenue and profitability. She also held the Solutions Delivery Head role responsible for conceptualizing, designing, and supporting execution of digital client facing solutions for corporate clients. Prior to pivoting into Transaction and Digital Business roles, Annerose held senior leadership roles in Information Technology and Technology Projects Management in the same bank. Annerose holds an MBA in Information Systems Management (University of Nairobi) and a BSC Information Sciences (Moi university) in Kenya. She passionately champions leveraging of data and digital technologies to orchestrate digital trade ecosystems that promote inclusive participation to catalyse social and economic development.
