Tony Francis Ntore

Tony Francis Ntore has been the Chief Executive Officer of the Rwanda Bankers' Association (RBA) since October 2019, where he has been instrumental in advancing Rwanda’s banking sector through strategic initiatives, policy advocacy, and fostering competitive, inclusive financial markets. With over two decades of experience in both public and private sectors, Tony has a deep understanding of political and institutional dynamics, SME development, trade, and economic growth. His career includes significant roles with multilateral organizations, national entities, and donor agencies, helping shape programs that promote economic development. Before his tenure at RBA, he worked with the International Finance Corporation in Rwanda and Ethiopia as an SME Value Chain Specialist, and also held leadership roles at the National Bank of Canada. Additionally, Tony serves on various advisory boards, including Strathmore Business School in Rwanda and R-Switch. He is a seasoned strategist with a strong network and expertise in financial inclusion, SME growth, and cross-cultural relationship building.
