Throughout his career, he has held senior roles in various companies, leading teams to implement strategic initiatives, establish impactful partnerships, and direct significant investments, successfully deploying over US$5 billion in capital. As an independent advisor, Tony now leverages his extensive expertise to provide strategic guidance and insights to organizations across the financial industry. His recent roles include serving as the Group Chief Strategy and Investment Officer at the Nigerian Exchange Group Plc (NGX Group), where he spearheaded the company’s investment strategy, overseeing strategic investments, investor relations, mergers and acquisitions, and corporate strategy, significantly contributing to the advancement of Africa's financial markets. Before his tenure at NGX Group, Tony was the Group Head of Ventures, Mergers & Acquisitions at Interswitch Group and the Vice President & Head of Investments at Itanna. His prior experience includes pivotal roles at Merrill Lynch & Co, Morgan Stanley & Co, and Goldman Sachs & Co, where he managed multi-billion dollar assets and played a crucial role in sourcing, investing, and monitoring private equity and hedge fund managers across various investment segments. Tony holds a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Accounting from Howard University and a Global Executive MBA from INSEAD.
