Divine Muragijimana has dedicated over 15 years to building transformative brand narratives and driving growth for businesses across Africa and the United States. With a deep passion for storytelling and strategy, she is a Fractional CMO and strategy consultant, empowering businesses and leaders to unlock their potential through strategic development, marketing advisory, and capacity building for marketing and growth teams.
Most recently, Divine served as the Vice President of Brand and Product Marketing at Cellulant, Africa’s leading payments brand. She was instrumental in establishing the company’s first in-house marketing team in 2015. She led the launch of its first consumer brands, Mula and Tingg, including what became one of Africa’s early super apps—setting new standards in the fintech space.
Prior to her tenure at Cellulant, Divine founded and managed a marketing and branding consultancy in New York City. She collaborated with Africa-focused businesses and advised prestigious institutions such as MIT, Harvard, Columbia, and NYU on their Africa-centric programs. Her early career included extensive media experience, including serving as Editor-in-Chief of Applause Africa, a leading Pan-African publication that spotlighted stories of impact and innovation across the continent.
