Baboucarr Drammeh is a payments and technology executive serving as Chief Technology Officer of Gamswitch and Program Lead for the Gambia Interoperability Switch Program (GISP). He has over a decade of experience driving digital transformation within The Gambia’s financial services sector, with a strong focus on interoperability, instant payments, and inclusive financial infrastructure.

Baboucarr has led the modernization of The Gambia’s national switch and is spearheading the implementation of GISP—an initiative designed to enable seamless, real-time, and inclusive digital payments across banks, fintechs, and other financial service providers. His work sits at the intersection of technology, regulation, and policy, where he collaborates closely with the Central Bank of The Gambia, financial institutions, and regional stakeholders to align infrastructure development with national financial inclusion and digital economy priorities.
