Charlotte is a career diplomat. Before her posting to Kigali, she served as Counsellor and Head of Political Department at the Embassy of Luxembourg in Bangkok (2020-2024), where she covered Political Affairs and Human Rights issues across Thailand, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Singapore and Vietnam.
In previous roles she worked as Sahel Coordinator at the Directorate for Development Cooperation and Humanitarian Action at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Luxembourg (2016-2020) and Policy Officer for Trade and Development at the Permanent Mission of Luxembourg to the United Nations in Geneva (2015-2016).
Charlotte holds a Master' Degree in Intelligence and International Security from King's College London, a Graduate Diploma in Law from the University of Law as well as a Bachelor's Degree in Politics and International Relations from the University of Manchester. Before joining the Ministry, she worked as a freelance journalist at Luxembourg's Major daily newspaper, partipated in several OSCE Election observation missions and gained valuable experience working for a local NGO at St. Louis in Senegal.
