Elvine Binamungu

Elvine Binamungu is the Country Director for Rwanda at the African Management Institute (AMI), where she leads the organization’s strategy, partnerships, and programme implementation to strengthen entrepreneurship and support the growth of small and medium enterprises.
She has extensive experience managing large-scale programmes that promote inclusive economic growth and enterprise development across Africa. Elvine has led complex, multi-country portfolios and diverse teams delivering practical learning and advisory programmes that equip entrepreneurs and business leaders with the management skills, systems, and leadership capabilities needed to build resilient and scalable businesses.
Her work focuses on strengthening SME capacity, improving business resilience, and supporting entrepreneurs particularly women and youth to participate more effectively in the business ecosystem and access growth opportunities. She has significant experience collaborating with governments, development partners, and financial institutions to design and implement programmes that help startups and micro, small, and medium-sized businesses build the operational discipline and financial readiness required to access finance and scale sustainably
Elvine works closely with ecosystem partners to expand opportunities for entrepreneurs, strengthen local business capacity, and contribute to job creation and inclusive economic development.
