Lerato Mbele is a Broadcaster, Strategist, Relationship Builder, an advocate for soft power in the promotion of African culture & a facilitator of Thought Leadership conversations.

Former BBC Global Business News Anchor and host of “Africa Business Report”, former senior business anchor at CNBC Africa, Prime Time News anchor at SABC News and foreign policy analyst heading a programme at the SA Institute of International Affairs.

She is also a renowned talkshow host and podcaster through the radio show “PowerTalk”.

A sought after global moderator who has sat on stage at the WEF, OPEC Fund for International Development Forum, UN, AfDB, Biashara Afrika, World Bank Annual Meetings, Afrexim Bank, SA Investment Forum, Nigeria Economic Forum and numerous other events promoted investment and innovation on the African continent.

She is the 2023 Recipient of one South Africa’s highest honours (2023) the Charlotte Maxeke Women in Leadership Award - for her work done in international broadcasting.
