Simon Desjardins

Simon oversees a selection of executive searches at Shortlist and supports our work in large scale recruitment solutions for a diverse range of global clients.

Prior to Shortlist, Simon was the energy portfolio director at Shell Foundation, where he spent 8 years building and supporting energy & financial services companies in Africa and India. During his tenure at Shell Foundation, Simon co-created the ResponsAbility Energy Access Fund (now $130 million under management), co-founded IntelleGrow (now branded as Ashv Finance, with over $150 million lent to SMEs), co-founded Impact Business Leaders (operating in 4 continents), and led the process to be the first funder to several pioneering energy companies, including M-Kopa, Husk Power, and others.

Simon holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Wilfrid Laurier University and has completed the Accelerated Development Programme at London Business School.
