Mr Njila Hinsley

Hinsley Njila is the Founder & CEO of Kilwa Technologies, a fintech and AI company building next-generation investment intelligence for Africa and other frontier markets. Kilwa helps investors, policymakers, and development institutions identify where, when, and how to invest by translating complex economic, political, and sentiment data into clear, actionable insights. His work focuses on reducing information asymmetry, strengthening capital allocation, and enabling more inclusive, data-driven growth across African economies.

In Rwanda, Kilwa is working with government and private-sector partners to develop one of Africa’s first Sovereign Large Language Models (LLMs), designed to expand access to financial products and public services in Kinyarwanda, strengthening digital inclusion and local innovation capacity.

With nearly two decades of experience across global finance, payments, and emerging markets—including senior roles on Wall Street—Hinsley brings a rare blend of financial rigor and Africa-first technological vision. He is a frequent speaker on fintech, AI, and inclusive growth, and an active collaborator with governments, DFIs, universities, and private capital partners across Africa, the Middle East, and the United States.
