Hon. Joseph Nsengimana

Hon Joseph Nsengimana is the current Minister of Education. He is an experienced and forward-thinking leader with a strong track record of collaborating with governments, regulatory bodies, multinational development agencies, philanthropic foundations, and education institutions at the national, regional, and international levels.
He has extensive experience working with tech hubs, EdTech entrepreneurs, and the broader EdTech ecosystem across Africa to leverage technology in strengthening education systems. His expertise spans multiple areas, including higher education, education technology, diversity and inclusion, policy and government affairs, and coalition building.
He has demonstrated a proven ability to build and lead cross-cultural, multi-country teams, drive consensus, and deliver impactful results. A self-starter and collaborative team player, he is deeply passionate about youth education and empowerment as a foundation for sustainable development.
