Kwame Oppong is a seasoned executive and thought leader in fintech, financial inclusion, and digital innovation, with a strong record of impact across public and private sectors. He has demonstrated expertise in policy development, regulatory frameworks, and financial technology innovation at both national and international levels.
As the former Director of Fintech and Innovation at the Bank of Ghana, Kwame led several key initiatives including Ghana’s Central Bank Digital Currency project (eCedi), the regulatory Sandbox, and the establishment of the Bank’s FinTech and Innovation Office. He’s a Salzburg fellow, Research Affiliate of University of Cambridge and a Council Member of the World Economic Forum’s Global Futures Council on Decentralized Finance.
