Benjamin Karenzi is an entrepreneur and petroleum economist with over 7 years of experience in both the Telecom sector, upstream petroleum and international negotiations.

His significant accomplishments include contributing to the design and implementation of the MTN Group's "Hello World" proposition, which aimed to provide affordable roaming services, as well as participating in geochemical and 3D seismic exploration studies of Lake Kivu for hydrocarbon potential.

A robotics enthusiast, Benjamin is dedicated to leveraging robotics and Artificial Intelligence to enhance education and healthcare across Africa. In 2020, Benjamin introduced and deployed Smart Anti-Epidemic Robots in Rwanda, Kenya and Equatorial to mitigate the spread of Covid-19. In 2017, he was awarded a Dual Scholarship from the Government of Rwanda and the University of Aberdeen in Scotland, where he earned a Master of Science in Oil and Gas Enterprise Management.

Currently, Benjamin serves as the CEO and Partner of IT Consortium Rwanda, a regulated Payment Service Provider (PSP) offering services in payment aggregation, international remittance, and digital savings and investment facilitation by both the National Bank of Rwanda and the Capital Market Authority.
