Shirley Mburu is the Director, Advisory – Africa at BFA Global.

Shirley brings extensive experience in financial innovation, having designed and managed multi-country initiatives across Africa that support private sector innovators in developing tech-enabled embedded finance and climate solutions to improve the lives of underserved individuals and MSMEs.

She leads BFA Global's advisory work in Africa, partnering with policymakers and development organizations to conduct global assessments of financial ecosystems, strategies, and products in order to identify drivers, barriers, and opportunities for deepening financial access and usage.
