Dr. Cédric Jeannot

Founder & Chief Executive Officer, Be Financial Group

Dr. Jeannot is a serial entrepreneur with multiple exits and extensive experience as an investor and board member. He is currently the co-founder of Be Financial Group, a multi-family office focused on investing in and building technology companies in emerging markets, with a particular focus on Africa.

He is also the co-founder, CEO, and now Chairman of Be Mobile Africa, a challenger bank serving African markets. Be Mobile Africa focuses on the unbanked and underbanked, providing free to low-cost banking services across the continent. Built on blockchain technology, the platform now operates in 13 markets and became a Harvard Business School case study. Its mission is to improve the financial lives of 100 million people in Africa.

In addition, Dr. Jeannot co-founded Moose.Capital, an asset management and tokenization platform that enables users in emerging markets to access U.S. technology stocks. The company was successfully acquired in Q4 2024.

Dr. Jeannot is a on the board of MCB Group (MU:MCBG), a banking group operating in Mauritius with total assets worth USD 20 billion. He also serves as an independent member of the Investment Committee of Finnfund’s Digital Access Impact Fund (DAIF), a USD 200M growth-stage investment vehicle for digital companies managed by Finnfund, Finland’s leading development financier and impact investor.

Prior to that, he was the founder and CEO of APrivacy, an award-winning security company that provided the banking industry with an information security and tracking services.

Dr. Jeannot is a frequent speaker at digital conferences worldwide on the topics of FinTech, Trade, Digital security, Impact investing and Poverty alleviation and has been quoted in a number of global press publications.

He was named as one of 16 Most Promising Entrepreneur in Asia-Pacific by EY and served as a Canadian delegate to the G20 Young Entrepreneur Summit for several years.

Dr. Jeannot holds a PhD in Applied Security from the University of Louisville (USA).
